TRAILBIKE star Billy Bolt turned up the heat on his FIM Hard Enduro World Championship rivals with a stunning victory in sweltering Tennessee, USA.
It was the second win of the season for Bolt, who is sponsored by Palletforce, and puts him just one point behind Mani Lettenbichler in the battle for the world title.
Bolt beat a field of 60 in the fifth round of the championship, with the high humidity and rough, rocky terrain making for a gruelling contest.
His triumph came with a stunning last-lap move, regaining the race lead from Lettenbichler with time running out.
A jubilant Bolt said: “After winning the two qualifiers, I got out to a good lead in the final and felt in control until I messed up the hill climb in the closing stages. Then it got intense.
“At that stage I didn’t have much left in the tank to charge back at Mani. I got back up to him and just managed to get it done on the final lap.
“It’s been tough in this heat too, something I’m not that used to. Overall, this win has been great for my championship.”
Bolt, who rides for Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing, now travels to Poland for the next round on September 11 with the championship lead very much in his sights. Palletforce has sponsored Bolt throughout his career and has helped him rise through the ranks to make it to the very top of the sport.
Dave Holland, Palletforce’s sales & marketing director, said: “Just like Palletforce, Billy knows how to deliver, no matter what the conditions or how tough it gets.
“Everyone here is so proud of the way he conducts himself and is delighted that he has earned himself another much-deserved victory.
“We are all backing him to bring the world title back to Britain this season.”
