Burton Albion Community Trust has teamed up leading express distribution network Palletforce for another season as it continues to develop the long-term partnership between the trust and the Burton upon Trent-based logistics giants.
The two organisations have been working together to tackle health and wellbeing projects in the community for eight years and Palletforce is committed to increasing its support even further in the coming year.
It will be backing the BACTive weight support initiative and assisting with the trust’s education provision. Last year Palletforce sponsored the trust’s glittering Star Awards and staff members gave up their spare time to volunteer for marshalling duties at the popular Brewers 10k race.
Palletforce chief operating officer Mark Tapper said: “Palletforce and the Burton Albion Community Trust share many of the same goals – to deliver for our local communities and to do all we can to help local people and organisations, through health, education and support initiatives.
“All of our staff at our Burton upon Trent SuperHub are proud of the work they do to help the community and the way this partnership has developed and strengthened over the years is a tribute both to them and the amazing work the trust does.”
Stefanie White, BACT business development manager, said: “Palletforce has been incredibly generous with their support over the years and having them as a long-standing Friend of the Community is fantastic. We look forward to working with all the team on these new exciting projects for the year ahead.”
Palletforce celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and in that time has delivered over 50 million pallets of freight from its SuperHub – the largest in Europe – which is operated by employees from across the Burton area.
The successful partnership has seen Palletforce support the BACT trip to Ghana earlier this year and be crowned winners at the trust’s inaugural charity golf day.
Friends of the Community are businesses which pledge to work with BACT and support its projects. To become a Friend of the Community or for more information contact [email protected].
